Overview

The open machine API for enrolled payment devices: smart POS companions and customer-facing displays. Sitora describes the collection, never performs it — the backend authors every amount from order truth, a certified payment application or the guest’s own provider app moves the money, and the device reports the correlation. A device can never declare money received: a reported outcome moves an intent to processing and a cashier attests it, exactly as a robot reports progress but never writes order state. Enroll once with a one-time code, then authenticate every request with Authorization: Bearer sit_pd_... — the filial and station are derived from the credential and are never claimed by the caller. Polling reads support If-None-Match; mutations accept client_idempotency_key and replay the original outcome.
