Getting set up
If your account does not control a restaurant yet, Sitora Biz opens on the onboarding request instead of the owner workspace.
Why there is a request at all
Section titled “Why there is a request at all”Creating a restaurant on Sitora is not instant, and that is deliberate. Owner access carries billing, control over other people’s access, and authority over money. Sitora reviews a request before provisioning rather than letting anyone create a live business from a form.
The app is honest about this throughout: a request under review is a request under review, and Biz never shows you an owner workspace you do not yet have.
What you are asked for
Section titled “What you are asked for”Business identity
- Business name — the public-facing restaurant or brand name
- Legal name — the registered business name
- Business type — restaurant, cafe, food court, or similar
- Operating city — the primary city you will operate in
Owner contact and scale
- Contact phone and contact email
- Expected number of branches you plan to operate first
- Requested plan, if you already know which one you want
Your first branch
- Branch name — how it will be displayed
- Branch address
Review note — optional, but the most useful field on the form. Anything the reviewer would otherwise have to ask you is time saved.
What happens after you submit
Section titled “What happens after you submit”Your request moves through states, and Biz shows you exactly which one you are in:
| State | What it means |
|---|---|
| Submitted | Received, waiting to be picked up |
| Under review | Being looked at |
| Information requested | Something needs clarifying — over to you |
| Approved, pending provisioning | Accepted; your workspace is being created |
| Provisioned | Ready |
| Rejected | Declined |
| Withdrawn | You closed it |
A request timeline shows the history.
If information is requested
Section titled “If information is requested”The app shows exactly which fields were asked about, and lets you update only those, with a follow-up note explaining what changed. Sending the follow-up returns your request to review.
Answer the question that was asked. A follow-up that changes unrelated fields takes longer, not less.
If your request is provisioned
Section titled “If your request is provisioned”Biz shows Owner workspace ready. Use Refresh owner access and the app switches from onboarding into the real owner workspace.
Withdrawing
Section titled “Withdrawing”You can withdraw an active request, with an optional note. It closes that request; you can submit a new one later.
Creating more branches
Section titled “Creating more branches”Once you have a workspace, you add branches yourself from Branches → Create a new branch. That does not need Sitora’s review — it is your business.
A new branch needs, at minimum, a name and a location. The location is not optional in practice: without coordinates a branch cannot price deliveries at all, because there is nothing to measure a distance from.
Setting a branch up so it can actually trade
Section titled “Setting a branch up so it can actually trade”A new branch is not ready just because it exists. Open it and work through Readiness, which lists what is still missing.
Typical order:
- Location and address — needed for delivery
- Operating configuration — hours, service modes, dining spots
- Menu — what this branch sells, at its prices
- Staff — people and roles, so someone can actually work there
- Payments — how this branch takes money
- Delivery pricing, if you deliver — base fee, base distance, per-kilometre rate, maximum distance, and any free-delivery threshold
Readiness tells you which of these is outstanding rather than making you guess.
Recommendations
Section titled “Recommendations”- Add a second sign-in method immediately. An owner account holds authority over money; if you have one way in and lose it, nobody at Sitora can restore the account. The app will insist on this.
- Do not make yourself the only administrator. If you are the sole account who can grant access, a lost phone becomes a business problem.
- Set delivery pricing before you switch delivery on. A branch that accepts delivery orders it cannot price refuses them at checkout, in front of the customer.
