Getting approved to work
When you first sign in, the app checks whether you can take jobs and tells you exactly what is missing.

“You cannot take jobs yet”
Section titled ““You cannot take jobs yet””Under that heading is a list. Each line is one thing to fix:
| What it says | What to do |
|---|---|
| Finish your profile details | Your legal name, date of birth and vehicle type |
| Verify your phone number | Verify the number on your account |
| You must be 18 or older | Nothing to do — this is a hard requirement |
| Your account is too new | Wait; new accounts become eligible shortly |
| Upload an identity document | An unexpired identity document |
| Upload your driving licence | Required for vehicles that need one |
| Accept the current courier terms | Read and accept the current version |
| Your account is suspended | See Your standing |
| Your account has been closed | Contact support |
| Offers are paused for now | A temporary pause — see below |
The list is in order. Work down it.
Nobody approves you at Sitora
Section titled “Nobody approves you at Sitora”This is the part people find surprising, and it works in your favour.
There is no queue and no person deciding whether you are allowed to start. The list above is checked automatically every time you use the app. Upload the last document and you are eligible on your next request — no waiting for review.
It works the other way too: if your licence expires, you stop being eligible at that moment. Keeping documents current is genuinely your responsibility, not something someone will chase you about.
Your documents
Section titled “Your documents”Documents you upload are private. They cannot be edited or overwritten — if you need to replace one, you upload a new one and the old one stays as a record.
Only two parties can read them: you, and a Sitora reviewer if a review is needed. Restaurants never see your documents; they see that Sitora verified you.
Getting a restaurant to approve you
Section titled “Getting a restaurant to approve you”Clearing Sitora’s list makes you eligible. Getting work also needs a restaurant to approve you — and that part is deliberately in person.
They will:
- See your ID — in person, not a photo
- Look at your thermal bag — and decide whether it is acceptable
- Look at you — appearance against their standard
Turn up with the bag you actually use and the ID you actually hold. The restaurant records that they checked, and that record is what a later dispute turns on.
Once approved, that restaurant’s delivery jobs can be offered to you.
Verification levels
Section titled “Verification levels”You start at the basic level, which is enough to work for any restaurant that has approved you. That covers most couriers, permanently.
A higher level — platform verified — is needed only for open-pool work, where no restaurant has met you. You can reach it two ways:
- By reputation. Deliver enough jobs, for enough different restaurants, at a good completion rate, and you are promoted automatically. Nobody opens your file.
- By asking for review. You can request verification directly.
You do not need it to start, and most couriers never think about it.
Day-to-day recipes
Section titled “Day-to-day recipes”I uploaded everything and still cannot work. Re-read the list — it updates itself. A remaining line is a remaining requirement. If it says Offers are paused for now, see Your standing.
A restaurant approved me but I get no offers. Check you are on shift. Then check the pause and suspension states on your standing screen.
My licence is about to expire. Upload the new one before it does. There is no grace period — you stop being eligible on the day.
I want to work for another restaurant. Each restaurant approves separately. Approach them; the meeting is the process.
